From time to time I reserve the right of any blogger to wander off topic.
I'm up late watching the quarter final round of the MountainWest Conference tournament. My alma mater just beat the number 2 seed, BYU, our arch rival.
Our season has been disappointing up to this point, but suddenly the season is measured a success.
Now if we could only win two more games, Utah could be the team with the worst record in the NCAA tournament!
Last fall, I had the privilege of meeting Ray Giacoletti. I was genuinely impressed. He's a coach, like Urban Meyer, that I can really get behind.
You would have to rub the salt in the wound, wouldn't you? Utes have a lousy football season, but beat BYU at the end of the season. Now, in bball, they do the same thing. The painful thing is now we have to hear about it for the rest of the year!
