Today Microsoft released via Channel 9 some great details about its project previously code named Origami. Be sure to watch the video.
Today was also the first day of CeBIT in Hamburg Germany where Samsung displayed what appears to be a first commercial version of the device. Gizmodo posted video on YouTube. See below. You can read Gizmodo's underwhelmed post about this new device here.
Some of the features of the device that excite me are:
- It is really, really small for a full featured computer.
- It is designed for media--handy for videos on long flights.
- It is wi-fi and blue tooth enabled to allow wireless communications, including over cellular networks.
If this device catches on, which, contrary to Gizmodo's view, I think it will, there are some interesting implications. If it even approaches the popularity of Apple's iPod, there will be all sorts of entrepreneurial opportunities.
I guess we'll wait and see!

Very cool, I agree with you, looks like this could really catch on.
Thanks for the info.
