The charitable organization, Invisible Children, organized the "Global Night Commute" in 150 cities, primarily in the United States on Saturday, April 29. The Global Night Commute is designed to draw attention to tens of thousands of young Ugandans who commute en masse each night to safe, central locations where they sleep communally to avoid abduction by warring factions that would enslave them in their respective militias.
About 200 or 300 people showed up on a perfect evening in downtown Salt Lake City tonight for the event. I took my camcorder over to interview some of the folks who came out. I was impressed about how tuned in these young people really are.

I've posted about this once or twice before. I recognize that this isn't particularly topical, but I hope you'll forgive the distraction--I am impressed with what today's young people are doing.

Devin - great coverage - there was a similar atmosphere in the event I attended in Provo, where we had about 300 attend. Sincere people, who realized that they had a responsibility to ease suffering. Your video helped show that - Thanks!
