Just a quick update on Mozy, the free (or low cost) automated on-line back up service I posted about a few weeks back.
First, Berkeley Data Systems, the company that provides the Mozy service has improved its referral program, providing that those who sign up as a result of a referral from a user like me, gets more free space when first signing up and more each time someone who is referred signs up. (So if you click here to go to Mozy.com you and I both get a few free KB of backup storage.)
Second, I want to report that my experience with Mozy continues to be marvelous. I have two machines being backed up on a single account. The first 2 gigabytes are free. I've purchased the maximum amount of storage allowed for only $30 per year. My only complaint is that I can't buy more space! We're also putting every machine in the office on Mozy.
