
Omniture posted the following press release today:
OREM, Utah – April 4, 2006 – Omniture, Inc. today announced that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The offered shares will be sold by Omniture and certain stockholders of the company.
Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated will act as the sole book-running manager for the offering and Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC will act as co-lead manager. In addition, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. will act as co-managers of the offering. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined. The news comes as no surprise. Last year, Josh James, founder and CEO, pulled together a $40 million venture round in July. The funds investing included BA Venture Partners, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and Attractor Investment Management.
The news of the IPO suggests to me that they have continued to stay on plan, hitting aggressive growth and profitability tagets.
The prospectus isn't final yet, so I haven't reviewed it. I look forward to it. This is looking like it good be a great deal for the founders and the investors.
