It was great to see what SLNHS is doing. Maria Garciaz, the Executive Director, graciously spent an hour with us taking us through their business model. Over the last nearly 30 years, SLNHS has made a tremendous impact in Salt Lake, bringing affordable housing to 77,000 people and helping to eliminate urban decay.SLNHS provides down payment assistance, low interest home equity loans, affordable first mortgages and also works with developers to sponsor affordable housing developments in low-to-moderate income neighborhoods.
