 It's not great because I shot and edited it. An above average monkey could do a better job, but the substance of what Damon says is great. Damon Kirchmeier has won all kinds of races and awards in downhill mountain-biking, his avocation. His vocation is working as a venture capitalist with UTFC. He compares meaningfully the challenges of competing at the highest levels of his sport to competing successfully in building a venture.

The season is over for now. The next big race in the area will be at Deer Valley July 8-9, 2007. Keep watching www.ride-it.net for the Utah race series to be posted once it is finalized. It will kick off in Bountiful sometime around early June.

This is a great interview - I really like the parts about keeping things in perspective and working smart. Both things are very easy to say and obvious to everyone, but very difficult to consistently practice in the business world.
