I think this video demonstrates an egregious abuse or at least misuse of power. This interests me, in part, because I sometimes see bloggers guilty of a similar sin.
The video is security tape from the Third District Court Judge Leslie Lewis who had a court spectator handcuffed and locked up for leaving the court room during a hearing. Listen carefully to the dialog. I'm not kidding; you won't believe it. The story, however, is well documented. It is authentic.
Now my point. I often see bloggers who use their press, or more frankly, waste it, to complain about $7.00 per hour customer service reps at McDonalds, Dell or some other giant company. Such customer service reps infuriate me, too, but I think the blogger who takes time to whine about petty customer service gripes waste readers time and are guilty of a similar failing, a needless desire to prove they are superior to the $7.00 customer service rep. Their rants, in my opinion, merely beg the question they seek to settle.
Watch this video and tell me what you think.
