This is an incredible story. Started less than two years ago with relatively simple code, the creation of that kind of value is certainly reminiscent of those halcyon days in the late 1990s when a business plan could go public.
As regular readers know, I'm fascinated by YouTube and by video on the web. Clearly the convergence of television and the web is upon us. How long will it be until we no longer distinguish between watching television and watching the web? What will it mean for television networks?

Things are changing fast....i just watched the 60 Minutes HP Scandal piece on Yahoo/CBS. Traditional media outlets (tv networks, newspapers) have some big issues to contend with. Buffett once considered the newspaper publishing business to have monopolistic characteristics. No more.
What has made all of this possible? Cheap (relatively) broadband over the last mile.
