Google now has its own center of gravity. Entrepreneurs are both focused on being worthy of Google's largess and afraid of being crushed into oblivion by it.
In any case, it's good to be Google, Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOG)







Nice timeline. What's surprising to me isn't the number of companies Google is acquiring, but the fact that they acquire and successfully add value to a large number of acquisitions so consistently. It is common for acquisitions to take a long amount of time to prove their value and merge into the buyer's overall strategy. With Google, it seems like their acquisition to re-launch-with-Google-value-add ratio is very well done. I wonder if it is the culture and people, or the nature of the business that they are in. (Specifically, Picassa, Blogspot, etc. etc.). They're on to something...
