The number of deals increased to 593 in Q3 2006 from 568 in the prior year quarter, indicating an increase of 4.4%. The dollar value of transactions increased to $6.3 billion in Q3 2006 from $5.9 billion last year, reflecting an increase of 7.5%.
Some of the deals for the quarter that were of interest to me include the Adam Aircraft deal in Colorado of $93 million. Adam Aircraft is now building a facility here in Utah. MobiTV is on the leading edge of the new wave of mobile media, a wave that will wash over the world before the end of the decade, radically changing the way we consume media. They raised $70 million.
