Paul Allen: Utah v. BYU
Paul Allen (the Lesser), in a post about a laundry list of observations, predicted casually yesterday that BYU's football team is "going to run the table."

utah_utes.JPGPaul, I think we should have a little wager on this.  BYU is having a great season and I'm glad.  My team, the University of Utah, is not having such a good season.   That said, I'm willing to bet that my team can take your team.  What say you?

If BYU wins, I'm willing to put up the following:
  1. I'll plug your blog every day for a week after the game.
  2. I'll buy you lunch at whatever place you choose in the State of Utah.
  3. I'll post a video of myself singing the BYU fight song on my blog and on YouTube.
So, Paul, what do you think?  How sure are you that BYU will run the table?

Mwa ha ha, the rivalry stirs again. As one who went to both schools, I'd better stay on the sidelines for this one!

Easton,

As an alumnus of both schools, you are in a relatively small group of people who are allowed to be genuinely ambivalent about this game. The rest of us must commit heart and soul!

Go Utes!

Cougartown is going to put the hurt on this year.

Devin, if Utah wins . . .
- I'll plug your blog every day for a week after the game.

- I'll buy you lunch at whatever place you choose in the State of Utah.

- I'll post a video of myself singing the Utah fight song on my blog and on YouTube and I'll place a U on my front lawn for a week.

But, when BYU wins, what do you say
- You buy me lunch at whatever place I choose in the State of Utah.
- You write a post titled "5 ways the Cougars dominated the Utes in Saturday's game", and last
- You put a big Y on your lawn for a week and start it off with singing the BYU fight song with the Y in the background.

Russell,

I'll take your challenge with one caveat--as I have no front lawn (I live in a high rise condo) I'll have to forgo putting the "Y" on it. I will sing the Cougar fight song with the "Y" (as in the school) in the background.

Now, for all of you other BYU fans, you'll have to enjoy the pleasure of BYU's victory vicariously--and count your blessings if Utah wins and you don't have to pay up!

GO UTES!

i'll bet you lunch the cougars win this Saturday. Are we on?

I wish I had the time and money to buy lunch for all BYU fans after the big game--in the unlikely event of a BYU victory, but, alas, time and money prevent me from extending my offer beyond Paul and Russell!

I am ready for a link to your song on YouTube.

:::Patiently awaits the link to the video:::
