Friend and PR guru Russ Page reminded me today that I owe him a post entitled, "5 ways the Cougars dominated the Utes in Saturday’s game." Here we go:
1) The entire first quarter. It was nothing short of a miracle that Utah came back from spotting BYU two touchdowns in the first quarter.
2) The fourth quarter. After two scoreless quarters, BYU came back in the fourth quarter and scored 18 points.
3) Nerves of steel. When lesser teams would certainly have crumbled under the pressure in the fourth quarter, the Cougars never gave up.
4) The last drive. BYU absolutely dominated the game on the last drive; Utah was so focused on letting BYU do anything but score, they gave up a first down on almost every play.
5) The last play. Jon Beck is an awesome quarterback; when he absolutely, positively had to make the pass into the end zone he did. That's the sort of play that can lead to working on Sundays.
