I wonder if anyone who reads this post will care what it says.
As I wrap up the week, I've been giving thought for some time to my favorite posts. This is interesting to me, because I get some of the best traffic for posts that are pure fluff. A trackback link to the right A-list blogger generates traffic, but such posts are rarely insightful. Valuable insights don't always come from pithy, 200 word posts dipped in controversy.
So, if I were you and could skip striaght to the pure gold where I would actually learn something that most people aren't writing about or not writing about as well, I would read the following three posts:
- 10 Ways to Get Money To Chase You
- Damon Kirchmeier on Winning
- Choosing a Business Broker or Investment Bank
The first post, 10 Ways, provides ten tips for raising angel money or venture capital for your start-up. I'm sure there are other good tips in the world, but I've tested this outline in several presentations with smart people, and I'm convinced this is a pretty good list, if I do say so myself.
The post about Damon includes a great video. I've done a number of video posts during my tenure here at the MidMarketMaven for Know More Media, but this is the best (even better than the video of my singing the BYU fight song after Utah lost to BYU last month). Damon is a great guy, a great athlete and a great venture capitalist. You should listen to what he has to say!
Finally, the post about Choosing a Business Broker or an Investment Bank is, I believe the most visited post I've ever written (with maybe the exception of the aforementioned fight song video post). The marketplace seems to think this was insightful.
In any case, now you know where to find the good stuff--if you want it.
If you think any of these three posts is pure balderdash and not pure gold, let me know. I'm also happy to hear from someone who might think that some other post should have made the top three.
