The Edison Conference, a technology showcase organized jointly by the University of Utah and the MountainWest Capital Network will be held next Thursday, April 19, 2007 at the Little America Hotel.
I'm excited about this event because it combines several of my personal passions. It features a number of technologies from my alma mater, the University of Utah (along with technologies from Brigham Young University and other Utah schools).
The event is also hosted by the MountainWest Capital Network, which I have the current privelege of leading. I think the MountainWest Capital Network is the real deal network in Utah.
Finally, I have a genuine enthusiasm for seeing companies grow and succeed. The companies that will be demonstrating their technologies range from university lab technologies to large, middle-market companies that pulled technology out of the university lab long ago.
This will be a great opportunity for venture capitalists and private equity professionals to see entrepreneurs in action.
