The New York Times Deal Book daily report is among my very favorite sources of information to stay on top of deal activity nationally. Today the paper published an entire printed section, available on-line, covering the deal market in detail.
One piece graphically illustrates the connections among the power players on Wall Street, centered largely around Henry Kravis of KKR. (Just more evidence of the importance of networking.)
Another piece describes the interviews that newly minted MBAs are facing in financial quarters, especially Silicon Valley, where interview questions might include, "'Organize these three companies by their betas,' or 'Walk me through how you would value this company in a prospective strategic merger.'"
All worth a read if you get a moment.
