This evening I had the opportunity to make an informal presentation to the New Venture Finance Class for MBAs at the University of Utah.
The class asked a lot of great questions, making the session quite pleasant. The students are an impressive group of individuals with a real track record of success.
Interestingly, one of my clients was in the class. I learned from him in advance that he would be in the class. It created an interesting dynamic; frankly I think I felt as a result that I had to be "on my game." The class probably benefited from my effort to provide more thoughtful insights.
The course instructor, Ken Krull, is a good friend and is a principal at newly formed Mercato Partners.
