Middle Market Deals and how to buy, sell and raise capital from $5 to $500 million

Funding Universe is hosting a speedpitching event in Utah next week.  Today is the deadline for entrepreneurs to submit an application to pitch at this event.  These events are first class ways for entrepreneurs to actually get a deal in front of angel investors.

Fast Company expert blogger Rusty Weston wrote a great post about HireVue, a company we use as a client and that I've written about a number of times. Rusty interviewed both Ray Sweger in our office and me to get the perspective on the hiring process using HireVue.

Thing three:  the Utah Jazz got their butts handed to them tonight.  I'm proud of this team who played so well.  Very few Jazz fans expected to make it to the playoffs this year, let alone the Western Conference Finals.  It is nice to see the guys among the four best teams in the league.  They earned it.  Congratulations Utah!
